Local studies collection

The Local Studies Collection includes books, as well as some newspapers, journals, parish magazines, trade directories and electoral registers. The collection constantly grows as new items are published. 

Most of the book collection is held at an outstore, but all other sources are held at our Record Office in Newport. To find out whether books are held at the outstore or the Record Office, check the library catalogue.

Books kept at the outstore will need to be retrieved by a member of staff. Allow three working days before you visit the Record Office to view your requested item. When making your request, include your contact details so that we can get in touch with you in case the item cannot be found.
