Booking a Ceremony
Current government guidance states that marriages and civil partnerships can recommence in England on 4th July 2020. Only ceremonies already booked for July 2020 will take place in July. Bookings from couples who had to postpone their ceremonies during the pandemic can be taken from August onwards – please call us from 6th July to discuss. New bookings will be taken from 13th July.
Notices of Marriage or Civil Partnership
A limited service for taking notices will resume from 15th June strictly for ceremonies already booked with us in July, August or September 2020. No appointments will be available for ceremonies scheduled more than 3 months ahead. We will be contacting couples directly to book you in.
Booking Your Civil Marriage or Civil Partnership
You may marry or form a civil partnership in any Register Office or Approved Premises of your choice in England or Wales. However, before you can do this each of you must give a notice of your intention to marry or form a civil partnership, in person, in the registration district in which you live.
You may book your ceremony two years in advance but you cannot give notice of your intention to marry more than one year in advance.

- More than eight weeks before the ceremony date, you will receive a full refund (excluding non-refundable booking fee and notice fees).
- Between four and eight weeks before the ceremony date, you will receive a 50% refund (excluding non-refundable booking fee and notice fees).
- Less than four weeks before the ceremony date (or failure to cancel), there will be no refund.
