Lynnbottom Household Waste Recycling Centre (HWRC)
The waste service would advise you to visit the site at quieter times such as between 3pm and 6pm to save time on your tip trip.
The recycling centre does not open until 10am, so please do not queue in the carriageway before this time as it causes delays further down the road.
Address: Briddlesford Road, Newport, PO30 2PD
- Seven days a week, including bank holidays: 10am to 6pm
Please note: this site will not be open on Christmas Day.
Vehicle Permit Scheme
Some vehicles require a permit for residents to deposit their own household waste at both Lynnbottom Household waste Recycling Centre and Afton Marsh Recycling Centre. Further details on the Vehicle Permit Scheme can be found by clicking here.
Vehicles with a combined length of 7.7m or less are permitted to use the facility as normal regardless of the length of trailer. Any vehicle and trailer combination over 7.7m are unable to use the site. Vehicle and trailer combinations less than 7.7.m can continue to use Lynnbottom as normal.
Vehicles and trailer combinations under 5m in length can park as normal in one of Lynnbottom’s marked parking bays (unless the user has mobility issues/blue badge in which case they will be directed to the accessible bay). Vehicles and trailer combinations over this length will be required to use the accessible bay.
The rules are part of moves to improve health and safety, reduce waiting times at Lynnbottom and reduce congestion on Briddlesford Road, Newport, during busy times.
