Learning and Development Resource Centre

Learning Resource Centre Main Area

The Learning and Development Resource Centre provides a wide range of resources. The resources assist with the continuing professional development of:

  • teaching staff;
  • teaching support staff;
  • governors;
  • childminders;
  • social workers.

 

The resource centre holds resources in the following areas:

  • curriculum resources are matched to year group and ability;
  • classroom activities and artefact boxes to support learning;
  • special needs, behaviour management, inclusion, child development, emotional literacy, and SRE ;
  • childcare and early years (including registered childminders and pre-school staff) ;
  • social work, safeguarding, mental health, and family support.

Also available are:

  • a varied assortment of puppets for use in the classroom and to assist with social and emotional development ;
  • many big books, both fiction and non-fiction;
  • artefacts and hands-on teaching resources;
  • students reading lists tracked and resourced;
  • study area with internet access, available for bookings.

Thursday 8.30am to 6pm (5pm in school holidays)
Friday 8.30am to 4.30pm
