Book a burial

Who can book a burial?

If you wish to organise an interment within any of our cemeteries, you need to book this through your funeral director who will ensure all the arrangements and legal documentation is completed.

All interment bookings will incur a fee.

The interment fee includes

•    the administration for the booking of the interment

•    the preparation and completion of the interment at the time of committal

•    the maintenance of statutory registers and records following the interment

There are no restrictions on who can be interred within the cemeteries we provide.

Interments may take place Monday to Friday between 10am and 3pm (2pm in winter months), subject to availability.

What types of burials can be done?

We can accommodate

  • full burials at all cemeteries
  • cremated remains interments at all cemeteries
  • natural burials at our dedicated site in Northwood

All council managed cemeteries are dug for two internments except at the natural burial site situated in Northwood Cemetery which is single depth.
