How your council tax is spent
Council tax is used for local services and towards:
- your local parish or town council
- the precept to fund Adult Social Care. This results in an increase of 1.99% in addition to a base increase of 2.99%
- the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service has set an annual increase of £5 for Band D household for 2023/2024
- the Police and Crime Commissioner has set an annual increase of £15 for a Band D household
