Conservation Area Character Appraisal
The Isle of Wight Council has produced a Conservation Area Appraisal for the Newport Conservation Area. This document was adopted on 11 September 2007.
The Appraisal sets out the Council’s definition of the special interest of Newport Conservation Area. It will be used as a basis for planning decisions, appeal statements and conservation advice.
Article 4 Directions
Part of the conservation area is covered by an Article 4 Direction. The buildings covered by the Article 4 (2) Direction include 21 to 63 Carisbrooke Road confirmed 27 November 2001 are listed in the schedule and shown on the map.
