Short term support – reablement – planned short stays

Newly refurbished for 2026!

What does the Adelaide Resource Centre offer?

The Adelaide Resource Centre, managed by the Isle of Wight Council, is purpose built site providing short-term support to help individuals regain independence after illness or injury, as well as welcoming planned short stays.

Our experienced and professional team work towards developing supportive working relationships with our clients, encouraging them to build up and maintain their confidence and self-esteem, and support and empower individuals to promote their independence in a relaxed, social environment.

We also work closely with health and social care professionals who will visit on a regular basis or will make visits by arrangement. These include local GP’s and the District Nurses. The Adelaide provides services and support 24 hours a day seven days a week throughout the year.

Located in central Ryde, the Adelaide offers 22 modern and comfortable rooms, spread over two floors accessible by both stairs and a lift.

Nutritionally balanced meals are freshly prepared and cooked on site daily, reflecting each individual’s likes, dislikes and dietary needs.

Our dedicated Activities Coordinator leads a variety of engaging and social sessions, with the Therapy Team also running exercise classes and independence improvement sessions.

Visitors are welcome at the Adelaide and encouraged regularly.
