If you are a professional and need to complete a referral form for a person who needs supported accommodation, find guidance for the:
- single homeless pathway referral
- YMCA mother and baby referral
Single homeless pathway referral
The single homeless pathway is for single people experiencing homelessness on the Island, and it offers a range of support and accommodation options to suit their needs.
If you're an approved professional working with a person and wish to refer them into this pathway:
- first, you must complete a public body homeless referral. Learn more about your duty to refer and access the form
- then you must complete the single homeless pathway referral form (PDF, 196KB).
Someone from the housing team will contact the person and discuss their situation to consider their most suitable options.

YMCA mother and baby referral
The Lodge at Winchester House in Shanklin is for homeless, young mums and mums-to-be and offers support and accommodation to suit their needs.
A young woman accessing this service must be:
- aged between 16 and 25 years old
- pregnant (from 27 weeks onwards)
- has children two years old or younger.
If you're an approved professional working with a mum or mum-to-be and wish to refer them into this service:
- first, you must complete a public body homeless referral. Learn more about your duty to refer and access the form
- then you must complete the YMCA mother and baby referral form (PDF, 179KB).
Someone from the housing team will contact the person and discuss their situation to consider their most suitable options.
