THIS POST INVOLVES REGULATED ACTIVITY WITH CHILDREN AND IS EXEMPT FROM THE REHABILITIATION OF OFFENDERS ACT 1974 AND THE AMENDMENTS TO THE EXCEPTIONS ORDER 1975, 2013 AND 2020.

The Governing body of the Federation of the Church Schools of Shalfleet and Freshwater & Yarmouth wish to appoint a dedicated nursery and pre-school supervisor to join our forward-thinking learning community.

Baby Room Lead Practitioner

This is an exciting opportunity to oversee our successful Baby room, based on the site at Shalfleet C.E. Primary School.  Working under the direction of the Preschool Manager, you will be responsible for implementing the planning and vision for the setting.  Whilst providing safe, high quality education and care for children from birth to 2 years, to fulfil legal and statutory requirements and to contribute to and implement policies. This role will work under the direction of the Preschool Manager with close links with the EYFS teachers and EYFS Lead Teacher along with SLT to ensure the service offered meets the highest Ofsted and EYFS foundation stage standards.  We require the successful applicant to hold at least a Level 3 childcare qualification.

Preschool Practitioner

The successful candidate must be committed to providing a safe, fun and stimulating environment for the children.  You will be responsible for providing high quality education and care for children from birth to 5 years, to fulfil legal and statutory requirements and to contribute to and implement policies. There will also be opportunities for overtime for cover and also in our holiday club provision. This role would work closely with the Preschool Manager and staff to make sure the service offered meets the highest Ofsted and EYFS foundation stage standards.  A level 2 childcare or above qualification required.

Both posts require Level 2 qualification/GCSE in maths and English
