We are looking for a motivated legal support officer to join the Isle of Wight Council to provide support to professional staff within the Litigation and Property & Contract Legal Teams.

The role involves providing business and legal support. Tasks will include maintaining key dates diaries, the preparation of legal claims and deeds and documentation for property transactions, administering the Land Registry Portal as well as preparing and minuting meetings; administration of relevant systems and databases; and file management.

The successful candidate will be able to prioritise their workload and be confident in dealing with colleagues of all levels of seniority, as well as external customers and professionals.

The role requires attention to detail and excellent IT and communication skills.

Previous experience of working in a legal or other professional environment would be an advantage.
