Over the next 24 months, we will be re-vamping the council’s website from the ground up and are looking for a talented, experienced Analyst Developer to join the team, with significant experience in developing web applications and digital services.

The council's website is a key communication tool for the authority and is well established with over 700,000 page views every month.

This is an exciting and key project for the authority; it underpins our ambitions to be ‘digital by default’ supporting our digital strategy and to ensure that our community’s needs are met by the best public services as per our Corporate Plan.

You will be a tenacious and customer-focused individual, with significant  web and digital services development experience. You will be happy and able to work on your own initiative and as part of the project team to support this major development project and work with the wider team to continue to maintain our existing digital platforms.  

This project will help to shape the direction for the future of the council, showcasing easy and accessible access to services and providing exemplar and deliver the next digital platform for the authority. 

You will bring significant experience of web and digital service analysis and development to the role. The website will be redeveloped adopting best practice approaches and principles defined in the Government Digital Services Design Manual. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team including software developers, business process analysts and customer services staff. 

The work will be varied. You will work with a wide range of stakeholders across the local authority including the communications and ICT teams. There will also be significant engagement with end users during development and testing of the new website.
