The SEN Service has a vacancy for a full time SEND Casework Assistant. The successful candidate will work proactively to support the SEND Casework Officers, assist them in managing their caseloads and promote joint working with parents/carers, schools and other agencies. With the upcoming rollout of online services to support applications for EHC Plans we're looking for someone confident in their ICT skills with a keen interest in learning more about Special Educational Needs. The post is part of the SEN Assessment and Review Team.

Hampshire County Council delivers, on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council, all of its children's services functions and did so for an agreed period of five years from 1 July 2013. The original five-year partnership under direction of the Secretary of State finished in 2018 but has been extended voluntarily by both local authorities for a further five years. The management reporting line for this role is ultimately through Hampshire County Council Children's Services Director/Assistant Director and managers who take operational responsibility for children's services.
