Beaulieu House is a children’s home and short breaks service for children with disabilities located in Newport, Isle of Wight. Oftsed graded us as ‘Good’. Ofsted have reported that ‘Staff place the well-being of indivdual children at the centre of their practice, irrespective of the challenges that children may present’ and ‘Children, irrespective of any disability they may have, enjoy access to a range of social, educational and recreational opportunities, including activities in the local community’.


We are looking to recruit similarly minded, hard-working team members, who share our goals and aspirations and actively work to help us achieve them.


The cleaning role at Beaulieu is crucial to keeping the home clean and hygenic for the staff and children in the home. The ideal applicant must be organised, flexible, have an attention to detail and be able to work both as part of a team and independently.

Please note that this role falls within the strategic partnership between the Isle of Wight Council and Hampshire County Council. The employer will be the Isle of Wight Council and employment is on Isle of Wight terms and conditions. Hampshire County Council delivers, on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council, all of its children’s services functions and did so for an agreed period of five years from 1 July 2013, the original five year partnership arrangement under direction of the Secretary of State finished in 2018 but has been extended voluntarily by both local authorities for a further five years.

The management reporting line for this role is ultimately through Hampshire County Council Children’s Services Director/Assistant Director and managers who take operational responsibility for children’s services.
