The Isle of Wight Council is proud to be taking part in the new Kickstart Scheme on the Island. The scheme provides funding to create new job placements for 16 to 24-year olds who are on Universal Credit and at risk of long-term unemployment.

You are only eligible to apply for a Kickstart role if you fit the all of the following;

You are aged 16 to 24 years old

You have been allocated at Work Coach with Jobcentre Plus

If you meet all three criteria, we would like to invite you to join us here at Team IWC where we have a wide range of Kickstart opportunities available including roles in Administration, Marketing, Care, Information Technology and Human Resources!

You cannot apply directly with the Isle of Wight Council for any of these positions. To be considered, you will need to speak with your Work Coach at Jobcentre Plus. Let them know you are interested in joining the council for your Kickstart placement and they will be able to give you the full job details and the reference number you will need to apply for your chosen position.

You will need to contact your Work Coach in the usual way, via email, phone or via your Universal Credit journal.

Best of luck, we look forward to reading your applications!
