Commercial Services requires a driven, knowledgeable and focussed Technical Officer to be jointly responsible for the organisation and implementation of the planned maintenance programme for the Floating Bridge, maintain associated equipment and to ensure that the slipways are safe at all times for use by pedestrians. To be the first point of contact in the event of a technical problem or breakdown; liaising with and coordinating specialist contractors where necessary.

 

The flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends and some Bank Holidays is important. The postholder will be required to be on a standby rota with existing technical Officer to ensure 24/7 cover is provided.

 

It is essential that the successful candidate holds Engineering Qualifications and has considerable engineering experience. City and Guilds Level 3 or equivalent.
