We are looking to appoint a positive, committed, and forward-thinking Day Support Worker who will be supporting residents in the authority-run homes for adults with a learning disability and Behaviours that Challenge.
You will play a key role in delivering a high-quality service, which has a person-centred approach and actively supports and maximises residents' independence and life experience. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate an appropriate level of literacy and numeracy with a clear commitment to excellence. It is an important feature of these roles that residents have access to the range of community activities and we therefore welcome applications from people who can drive vehicles used by the residents in the homes.
You will be well supported and receive regular structured supervision, training and development opportunities.
For further information or an informal discussion please contact Louise Ixer, on 01983 755228.
The Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) have now amended the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014 so that, from 11 November 2021, all adult care home workers and other visiting professionals will need to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, unless they have an exemption or there is an emergency. Therefore, in order for us to meet this requirement, we will be seeking evidence from yourself as employment of an unvaccinated care home worker will breach the statutory restriction under the Health and Social Care Amendment Regulations.
