If you are looking for a flexible role cooking nutritious home cooked meals for children, then this role is perfect for you.

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated casual cook for Beaulieu House, the postholder will be able to accept work to suit their own lifestyle and commitments.

Meals are usually prepared and served between 3pm and 5pm weekdays and at weekends between 9am and 1pm. The post holder will be responsible for the cleanliness of the kitchen areas and will need to understand the food standards regulations and contribute to Beaulieu House maintaining the 5-star food standards rating. Beaulieu House is a children's home and short breaks service for children with disabilities.

As a casual cook at Beaulieu House, you can expect:

The post holder will hold a food hygiene certificate and be willing to undertake additional training relevant to the role.

his role falls within the strategic partnership between the Isle of Wight Council and Hampshire County Council. The employer will be the Isle of Wight Council and employment is on Isle of Wight terms and conditions. Hampshire County Council has delivered, on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council, all of its children’s services functions and will continue to do so until 2023. The original five-year partnership arrangement under direction of the Secretary of State finished in 2018 but has been extended voluntarily by both local authorities for a further five years.

The management reporting line for this role is ultimately through Hampshire County Council Children’s Services Director/Assistant Director and managers who take operational responsibility for children’s services.
