The Isle of Wight Council operates Plean Dene residential Learning Disability Home which provide a safe environment for the residents enabling them to lead fulfilled and enriched lives. 

We are looking to appoint positive, committed and forward-thinking Day Support Workers who will be supporting residents in the authority-run homes for adults with a learning disability and Behaviours that Challenge.

You will play a key role in delivering a high-quality service, which has a person-centred approach and actively supports and maximises residents' independence and life experience. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate an appropriate level of literacy and numeracy with a clear commitment to excellence. It is an important feature of these roles that residents have access to the range of community activities and we therefore welcome applications from people who are able to drive vehicles used by the residents in the homes.

You will be well supported and receive regular structured supervision, training, and development.
