The Community Equipment Store is a jointly funded service which provides critical equipment in the community to promote independence to Island residents, to avoid hospital admission and to facilitate safe and timely discharges.
We are looking for an individual to join our busy but rewarding service to provide critical frontline support. Duties will include ensuring equipment is in a good working condition, carrying out low level repairs, maintaining good levels of stock and assisting the QA team in other relevant activities. The ability to accurately record details and use bespoke warehouse system and devices/apps is also required. The successful applicant will be required to take part in an out of hours rota.
Previous experience of working with community equipment and/or within a warehouse environment is desirable as is an electrical and/or mechanical background, but not essential. Full training will be given but experience and competency of driving commercial vehicles is required.
The successful applicants will offer proven organisational and communication skills and be willing to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service.
