Do you embrace the challenge of change? 

 

We need an innovative transformation specialist to join our team, someone who will relish seeing their efforts clearly and visibly reflected in the lives of our unique Island community.

 

You’ll be the expert adviser for performance and data intelligence at the Isle of Wight Council, providing specialist analytical research and evaluation advice to all services.

 

Key duties of the role:

 

 

·  You’ll provide technical expertise and advice to senior leadership, council services and partners on the management and analysis of data, and the identification and management of strategic risks.
 
· You’ll develop new ways of reporting and visualising our business intelligence data to aid decision making and support our data strategy.
 
· You’ll lead on our corporate risk and performance activities, supporting service areas to identify, manage and report their risks and performance. 
 
· You’ll work with our teams identifying council wide projects relating to improvements and transformation that you’ll develop to make best use of published and in-house datasets from design through to analysis and visualisation.
 
· You’ll support in co-ordinating the development of our data strategy, contributing to our policy through the use of existing data sources and commissioned ‘deep-dive’ work.

 

 

This is your opportunity to support in leading our council on transformational and technical projects, delivering behaviour change and learning at all levels, whilst ensuring a high quality professional analytical service as part of our digital journey.

 

Yours will be a diverse workload, so you’ll need to be adaptable and skilled in communicating across departments with very different and specific needs.

 

You’ll need to be analytically minded with a flair for the translation and interpretation of data, plus, you’ll need to use your communication skills to present ideas, engage with your audience and gain ‘buy in’ for change.
