At the Adelaide in Ryde, people come to stay with us when they need support getting back on their feet, when they need help to return to their lives independently. Now we are looking for positive, enthusiastic, committed and forward-thinking individuals to join our Maintenance Team to manage minor maintenance repairs to the building, carry out ground maintenance work and to provide a minibus service for the transportation of our service users between their homes and the centre, where necessary assisting them on and off the vehicle. 

We provide vital support to people from all over the Island who are being discharged from hospital or trying to avoid admission to hospital. We also support people receiving re-ablement care, resulting in a vibrant mix of activities and challenges in our re-ablement homes.

You will assist the centre-based staff with providing for the physical, mental and social needs of our service users. The driving of the minibus will be in accordance with the Ministry of Transport driving test standards.

You will be expected to demonstrate a good understanding and Knowledge of Health and safety and regulations and to carry out all duties in accordance with the Authority’s Health and Safety Policy. 

Full Driving licence is essential for this role
