Salary Scale Grade 4: £ 21,575 – 21,968 pro-rata. £7,535 – 7,672 actual per annum.
VACANCY: Preschool Practitioner
Greenmount Community Preschool is a happy, thriving Early Years setting based on the site of Greenmount Primary School and led by the Governing Body of the school. We are keen to appoint a passionate, knowledgeable and experienced preschool practitioner to join our friendly and supportive team.
You will work as part of the preschool team under the direction of the manager. You will provide safe, high quality education and care for young children, which meets the individual needs of all children attending the setting.
It is desirable for applicants to have:
· A level 3 qualification in early years childcare and/or education or working towards this.
· Sound/growing knowledge of the key person role.
· Sound knowledge of the EYFS.
· Commitment to equality of access / opportunities for children, including those with SEND.
· The ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative.
· Experience of working in a busy preschool with children aged 2-5 years

This role falls within the strategic partnership between the Isle of Wight Council and Hampshire County Council. The employer will be the Isle of Wight Council and employment is on Isle of Wight terms and conditions. Hampshire County Council has delivered, on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council, all of its children’s services functions and will continue to do so until 2023. The original five-year partnership arrangement under direction of the Secretary of State finished in 2018 but has been extended voluntarily by both local authorities for a further five years.
The management reporting line for this role is ultimately through Hampshire County Council Children’s Services Director/Assistant Director and managers who take operational responsibility for children’s services.
