The Resilience Around the Family Team (RAFT) are looking to recruit 1 full-time Family Worker to provide interventions to families in order to support children to remain safely at home.
The successful applicants will plan interventions in conjunction with children and their parents or carers that will support families to make positive changes and enrich their family life together. This may include parenting advice and guidance, mediation and family agreements and child-focused work.
The RAFT team is a multidisciplinary team that offers a range of specialist areas of support for families and works in a strengths-based way to improve outcomes for them. Ofsted have rated us as a GOOD children's social care across all areas following our 2018 inspection. Ofsted found that: 'Children's lived experience is at the centre of social work practice on the Island.' 'Aspirational and highly competent leaders have a clear and shared vision for children's services.'

The original five-year partnership arrangement under direction of the Secretary of State finished in 2018 but has been extended voluntarily by both local authorities for a further five years.
The management reporting line for this role is ultimately through Hampshire County Council Children’s Services Director/Assistant Director and managers who take operational responsibility for children’s services.
