Join a community pantry
Join a community pantry and top up your weekly shop with a wide range of foods
- any Island resident can join a community pantry
- joining is not means tested and you do not need to be on benefits to go to the pantry
- to join you need to complete a short form
- you can join any pantry, you do not have to use the one nearest to you
- for £5 a week, you can choose over £15 worth of fresh, frozen, tinned and dry food - the pop-up pantries will not have fresh or frozen options available
- you do not have to use the pantry every week - if you do not visit you do not pay
- if you have specialist food needs talk to the pantry staff
- if you cannot get to a community pantry ask your nearest one if a delivery service is available

Isle of Wight Council libraries in Ryde, Newport, East Cowes and Ventnor take accept donations of non-perishable food for their local community pantry.
Food vouchers
Some families have been eligible for food vouchers funded by the Department for Work and Pensions Household Support Fund. Distribution of these has now finished.
