Help with Housing Costs – Household Support Fund

Island residents who have built up rent arrears before receiving benefits may be eligible to have that debt covered, provided they can now afford their rent going forward.

Support may also be available for a rent deposit to help move into a new home, short-term rental costs during a move, or while looking for work.

We cannot help homeowners with mortgage payments. This is due to rules set by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP).
