Launched today (Monday 27 March), the online directory provides information about organisations, services and activities available to you and your family. It includes early years and childcare, support for families, health and wellbeing, leisure and much more.

The Family Information Hub will grow as new organisations sign up and share information about what they provide.

The site has a great search tool, which means you can search by postcode for things happening in your local area.

Councillor Debbie Andre, Cabinet member for children‘s services, education and skills, said: “As more information is added and new organisations sign up to share details of the services they offer, the new online directory will become the definitive Family Information Hub for the Island.

"It will help to connect parents, carers and families with helpful information, groups and sessions to support them in their family journey.

"I‘d encourage anyone who offers support to families, from local coffee mornings and toddler play sessions, to organisations offering statutory services, to register and make full use of this new, free, single directory for families on the Isle of Wight.”

The website has been launched with information gathered and previously held by the council.

Providers have been invited to register and manage their information on the site, and organisations not currently represented are invited and encouraged to sign up to the free portal to showcase the excellent work they do within the community to support local families.
