Bulky waste
Up to four bulky waste items will be collected for £42.50. These are items that are damaged or cannot be collected under our free reuse collection service. You must place them at the front of your property for collection. Bulky waste terms and conditions apply.
Acceptable bulky and one-off waste collection items
We can collect the following items:
- baby cot
- baby bath
- BBQs
- bedside cabinet(s)
- bicycle
- bookcase(s)
- bed or bedbase
- cabinet
- carpet (rolled up)
- carpet underlay (rolled up)
- chair dining room (four chairs is one item)
- chair (office, arm, rocking, easy etc)
- chest of drawers
- coffee table
- cooker or oven
- computer monitor
- curtain rails or blinds
- desk
- dishwasher
- dressing table
- electric or gas heater portable
- fire (gas or electric) portable
- fridge and/or fridge freezer
- garden bench or garden swing (dismantled)
- garden table
- Headboard
- Home gym equipment e.g. exercise bike, rowing machine, treadmill
- lawnmower (electrical or manual push)
- mattress (any size)
- microwave
- rowing machine
- settee or sofa bed
- shelving unit
- slide (dismantled)
- snooker table (not full size)
- standard lamp
- step ladders
- stereo (including speakers)
- sunlounger
- television
- trolley (excluding shop trolley)
- trunk
- table
- vacuum cleaner
- vcr/dvd player
- wardrobe
- washing machine
- water butt
- wheelbarrow.
Please note: a three-piece suite (sofa and two armchairs) is classed as three separate items.
All white goods must be empty of food and in a clean state, otherwise they will not be taken away.
Unacceptable bulky waste collection items
We will not collect the following:
- aerials/satellite dishes
- aga’s/kitchen ranges
- anything containing asbestos
- any liquids
- bagged garden waste
- bathroom suites
- boilers
- chemicals
- commercial fridges or freezers
- doors or windows
- fence panels
- fireplaces
- garden ponds or pond liners
- gas bottles/canisters
- kitchen units or sinks
- mirrors/sheets of glass
- pianos/organs
- pieces of wood/rubble or stone
- petrol lawnmowers
- plasterboard
- radiators
- sanitary wear
- sheds
- sunbeds/tanning bed
- water tanks
- any other item which is not furniture or a kitchen appliance.
If we cannot collect a bulky waste item, you must either:
- arrange a private waste collection using a licensed waste carrier
- take to one of the recycling centres.
