Sharps disposal
Do not place sharps in your household waste and recycling.
They can cause injury to the collection teams and other people that may handle your waste.
Sharps take back scheme
A Sharps take back scheme is available on the Island.
This is for the disposal of needles or syringes with needles (sharps).
Containers issued by your healthcare professional can be returned to pharmacies across the Island.
You will be issued with a replacement container as required.
