What are Eco-Schools?

Eco-Schools is a special programme for pupils, endorsed by the Isle of Wight Council. It has a simple seven-step plan to tackle environmental issues in small, easy steps.

Some of the topics covered in the programme:

  • Climate change
  • Saving animals and plants
  • Reducing plastic waste
  • Cutting down carbon emissions

How It Works

With Eco-Schools, you get support and ideas for actions you can take locally. Your Pupil Eco Committee will make a plan and work on your Eco-School goals.

Together, your school can earn the Eco-Schools Green Flag, a special award recognised across the country!
