Register a birth

Registration of a birth should be completed within 42 days.

To register a birth, you need to book an appointment with us. The appointment will take approximately 20 minutes. Before attending you need to read the guidance on how to register a birth.

Birth certificates can be purchased on the day of registration. The cost is £12.50 each and payment is via debit or credit card.
