Isle of Wight Council Allotment Waiting List Re-Opened 

We are pleased to announce that the Isle of Wight Council Allotment waiting list has now re-opened to new applicants.

For residents in the Sandown/Shanklin/Lake area: 

If you would like to be added to the waiting list, please email us at allotments@iow.gov.uk with the following information:

  • Name
  • Address
  • Mobile and Landline Number
  • Email Address

For residents in other areas of the Island:

Please check for available allotments in your local area, before requesting to be added to the Isle of Wight Council waiting list.

Allotments are small areas of land that have been set aside for cultivation by renting tenants. Allotment gardens provide a wide range of benefits to the community and the environment. They are not just important for low-cost food production. They also provide a valuable, recreational opportunity involving healthy activities and social interaction. This can become a way of life for many people. Nothing is as rewarding as growing your own fresh fruit, vegetables, and flowers. Our allotment service manages a range of sites along with the Parish or Town Councils.
